Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy outlines how LifeSimGrid ('we', 'our', or 'the site') processes data. Protecting user privacy is our absolute core principle.
1. 100% Client-Side Local Processing Principle
This website operates on a 100% serverless, client-side architecture. When you upload photos, gaming avatars, or Mii QR codes for pixelation or binary decoding, every computational action ā including HTML5 Canvas sampling, ArrayBuffer byte rewriting, and Web Audio API synthesis ā executes entirely inside your browser sandbox in real time. We do not maintain a backend database, meaning we have zero technical capability to intercept, collect, transmit, or store your personal files.
2. Local Storage Mechanism (localStorage & IndexedDB)
The Tomodachi Voice Lab's Relationship Leaderboard saves your custom island Islander roster (up to 15 Islanders, including names, zodiac signs, and personality types) locally within your browser's localStorage under the key 'lifesimgrid-residents'. Additionally, each studio's History feature stores your recent actions (up to 20 entries per panel, including image thumbnails and configuration sliders) inside your browser's IndexedDB under the database name 'lifesimgrid-history'. Both localStorage and IndexedDB data chains remain strictly on your physical device and are never transmitted to any external server. You can instantly wipe this history at any time by clicking the 'Clear All' button inside each studio's panel or by clearing your browser's site data. No tracking cookies are deployed for these core functional utilities.
3. Cookies & Third-Party Advertising
To maintain global CDN web hosting and domain infrastructure costs, this site may display non-tracking, high-quality technology and design advertisements through premier networks such as Google AdSense in the future.
4. Google AdSense Data Collection Disclosure
Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to collect and store information when you visit this website. This data may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. Google uses this information to: (a) serve personalized ads based on your interests, (b) analyze ad performance and traffic patterns, and (c) limit how often you see the same ad. You can control personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google from collecting your data. Third-party vendors, including Google, may also use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.aboutads.info or the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://optout.privacyrights.info.
5. EU & EEA User Consent
For visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom, we comply with the Google EU User Consent Policy. Before serving personalized ads or using cookies for advertising purposes, we seek your consent via a cookie consent banner. You may accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences at any time. If you reject cookies, you will still see non-personalized ads. Our consent mechanism uses Google Consent Mode v2 to ensure ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage are denied by default until you grant consent.
6. Open-Source Third-Party Libraries & Telemetry
This web application integrates the following trusted open-source JavaScript libraries, all compiled to execute strictly client-side: jsQR (MIT License, QR code matrix decoding), qrcode (MIT License, QR code encoding), JSZip (MIT License, parallel local archival compression), and Lucide Icons (ISC License). None of these scripts contain outbound data hooks. Additionally, this site utilizes Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity to track anonymous, aggregated site performance and visitor behavior metrics to help improve user experience. These diagnostic platforms may use telemetry cookies or equivalent tracking mechanisms. You can entirely block Google Analytics by downloading the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or disable Microsoft Clarity through your browser's anti-tracking configurations. These web analytics integrations are entirely optional and can be blocked without affecting any tool capabilities.
7. Children's Privacy & COPPA Compliance
This website is NOT directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete such information. Because our architecture performs all processing locally in your browser and we do not maintain a backend database, we inherently satisfy the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent international safety standards.
8. GDPR & CCPA Regulatory Compliance
Because LifeSimGrid handles 100% of data flows within the user's browser sandbox and never collects, archives, or leaks personal identifiable information (PII), it fully complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - European Union) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA - United States). There is no user data to access, rectify, export, or erase because we never possess it in our infrastructure. Clearing your browser's local cache permanently removes your locally managed island resident rosters and history logs.
9. End-to-End Data Security
With zero data leaving your local device, the structural risk of server-side data breaches, leaks, or cloud hacking is entirely eliminated. We are deeply committed to open-source software transparency; you can self-audit our entire front-end data flow at any time via our public GitHub repository. Furthermore, the web application is served exclusively over a secure HTTPS protocol to block any man-in-the-middle (MITM) interceptions during initial page delivery.
