About LifeSimGrid

We're an independent open-source team building front-end creative tools and avatar data configurators for life sim fans worldwide.

đŸŽ¯ Our Mission

Our goal: a one-stop, privacy-first toolkit for life sim fans and retro 8-bit enthusiasts. All three studios are built on open, universal web tech — no downloads, no sign-ups, no servers:

🎨 1. Pixel Art Studio

Uses the HTML5 Canvas API for high-precision multi-ratio grid sampling (Square, Book Cover, Interior Wide) with four density levels. The built-in 32-color retro palette and paint-by-numbers system solve the color and edge distortion pain points hobbyists face when hand-tracing templates.

🔓 2. Data Configurator

Based on the public binary buffer protocol, helps users optimize, reconstruct, and unlock their own avatar QR code data. Supports single-file editing and batch ZIP export — 20+ files in under a second.

đŸŽĩ 3. Audio Lab

Uses the Web Audio API's low-level synthesis to simulate retro 8-bit electronic voice frequency curves. Includes 5 voice presets, custom phrase TTS, a 16-type personality matrix, and a relationship leaderboard with zodiac + personality compatibility scoring.

📖 Open Source & Serverless

We believe in open source and pure front-end tech. All code is on GitHub under the MIT License. No backend servers — just the cleanest, most efficient fan toolkit on the web. Contributions, translations, and bug reports are always welcome.

âš™ī¸ Tech Stack

Built with Next.js 16 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and next-intl for 10-language i18n. Static-exported and deployed on Cloudflare Pages with global CDN. Core libraries: jsQR (QR decoding), qrcode (QR encoding), JSZip (batch export), and Lucide Icons.

🔒 Privacy-First Architecture

Every feature runs 100% client-side. No backend, no database, no analytics, no tracking. Your images, avatar data, and voice settings never leave your browser. You can verify this yourself by opening DevTools → Network tab — zero outbound data requests.
