Why can't I edit a Mii I scanned from a QR code?
When a Mii is created on a Nintendo console, the creator can set permissions that prevent other users from copying, sharing, or editing the Mii. These permissions are stored as binary flags in the Mii's FFL data. Our tool modifies these flags to grant full editing access.
Is it safe to unlock Mii QR codes?
Yes. Our tool only modifies the permission flags in the Mii's binary data. It does not alter the Mii's appearance, name, or any other attributes. The modified QR code will scan normally on your Nintendo console.
Why does my console camera fail to read the unlocked QR code?
This is usually a physical issue, not a data problem. Try: turning your phone screen brightness to maximum, zooming in so the QR code fills the screen, cleaning your console's camera lens, and scanning in a well-lit environment.
Can I unlock multiple Mii QR codes at once?
No. Currently the tool processes one QR code at a time. To unlock multiple Miis, upload and process each QR code individually.
Does this tool work with Miitopia or Smash Bros. Mii QR codes?
Yes. Miitopia and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch use the same FFL format for Mii data. The tool processes these QR codes the same way as 3DS and Wii U Miis.
Will unlocking a Mii QR code affect my save data?
